1. Use lukewarm water for bathing and rinsing.

2. Start from the top of the head and work your way down. Be sure to use a sufficient amount of shampoo (all of our shampoos are diluted for easy application, so use lots!). Work the shampoo up into a rich lather. Try to leave the shampoo on for 5-10 minutes for best results. (Good time to give your pet lots of love and tell them how well they are doing.)

3. Scrub gently, but get down to the skin.

4. Be careful around the face and ear. It's best to use a washcloth in these areas. Try your best NOT to get water in your dog's ear. You can stuff his ears with cotton balls before the bath, though, just to be sure.

5. Rinse well, until the water runs clear. (If you don't, your pet may look like they have dandruff. It may cause them to scratch and itch.)

6. If your pet is really dirty, repeat the shampoo and rinsing process.

7. Condition in the same manner as you shampooed, then rinse. Conditioner works different on some coats. It's great for some dogs, but not so great for dogs with sensitive skin. If your dog has any skin issues, you may want to skip the conditioner altogether.

8. Towel dry... or look out.

9. Move your dog to one of our grooming stands and use our forced air dryer to get them fluffy and dry! They'll thank you for doing this step well.
